What is Birdbrook Bakery?

Birdbrook is a micro-bakery based in rural South-West England, producing everything from scratch in a small kitchen. Our intention is to create quality, tasty treats from organic ingredients for you to enjoy at home.

I am a one-person team, so it's not really a 'we' but a 'me'! I bake everything, photograph everything, built the website, answer customer queries, arrange deliveries - whatever needs doing, I get it done.

Why buy from me?

Every day, my aim is to be proud of everything that goes out the front door. My bakes are all things I would be happy to share (and have done so many times!) with friends and family at my kitchen table.

This is your invitation to join me at that kitchen table, by sharing my bakes in your home. 

Whether it's a biscuit with a cup of tea when a friend pops round, a monthly delivery of treats for your weekend, or a full spread of cakes and pastries for a celebration, I'd love Birdbrook to be a part of your life.

Why did I set up this business?

Birdbrook Bakery was started from a place of passion.

Passion for baking, of course - it’s something I’ve enjoyed since I was little, cultivating it all throughout my life. From baking cupcakes in my mum's old oil-fired Rayburn, to bringing treats to any occasion I could to have an excuse to make something, to using my career in wine to play with different flavours and styles, baking has always been a source of enjoyment - and now I fulfil a dream of bringing my bakes to the public and share my love.

Passion for quality ingredients and quality methods - I bake traditionally, using high quality ingredients, not cutting corners, and making something I can be proud of. There are no ‘UPFs’, just good, tasty, ‘farmhouse’ style bakes.

Love of and passion for the South West, the beauty of the countryside, and the environment. I source as many organic ingredients as I can, the ethos of quality and care within organic standards resonating with everything I want to achieve with Birdbrook Bakery.
